Seekins Precision Hunter Chassis
Everyone asked for them, and they listened. Customers wanted the ability to take a Seekins rifle, and drop it into a standalone chassis. Well, Seekins Precision delivered big time with the Hunter Chassis - a lightweight folding chassis that perfectly merges the benefits of a modern chassis with the fit, form, and feel of a traditional hunting rifle. It’s available for your existing short action and long action Seekins Precision rifles, and (get ready for this) they also made them available for Tikka and Remington 700 footprints. I dropped my existing Seekins Havak Element rifle right into this new Hunter Chassis and it took me maybe 2 minutes total to install with the action screws.

It’s made of 6061 aluminum and carbon composite skins, and it’s super lightweight at only 2.2 pounds. The Hunter Chassis feels very solid, and the build quality is superb with no detail sparred. It’s hard to show something like that through images, but if you get the chance to pick one up and manipulate it for yourself you’ll see what I mean. It features an integrated and full length MLOK rail for attachments and accessories. I attached a Hunter ARCA plate that sits at a 90 degree orientation to have a slim profile in the field, and a rail at the top for a bipod. I also added their Bag Rider accessory for use with a rear bag. It’s got an adjustable length of pull and cheek riser for dialing in exactly what you need. The carbon composite and weatherproof forend really does feel good in the hand, and I’m a big fan of the color scheme they chose for it.

My favorite aspect of this chassis is the folding stock they implemented. You can pack it nicely into a scabbard, or attach it to the side or back of your hunting pack. When folded, it covers up and protects the bolt, and it has absolutely zero play in it. One of my pet peeves is when stocks have that wiggle and a little bit of play or rattle in there, but this legitimately has no movement whatsoever. It’s got a button you press to fold the stock, then when opening it back up it gives you a very responsive click and lock into place. Overall, the Hunter Chassis is extremely well thought out, and having seen their impressive American manufacturing and QC processes in person - I know it’s made the right way. Just like anything from Seekins Precision, they fully stand behind their American Made products and their customers with an insanely generous warranty.

I took this on a successful bear hunt and was so happy with how the stock and rifle performed when I needed them to. The folding chassis made it easy to move around and maneuver through some thick brush, and it shot flawlessly. If you’re in the market for a premium chassis, then I highly recommend the Hunter Chassis. Whether it’s an upgrade to an existing rifle you have, or the starting point of a new build - I’m confident that you’ll be very happy when you get it in hand.
