Swarovski NL Pure Overview

The Swarovski NL Pure is the first completely new binocular from Swarovski since the introduction of the EL back in...well... a long, long time ago. The EL has reigned supreme for closing in on two decades because no one could build a better binocular, so Swarovski did it. The new Swarovski NL pure is that good, it is better than the best.

I have been using the Swarovski NL Pure 8x42 for over a month now. As beautiful as the optics are, the ergonomics are even more impressive. The curved design offers multiple surface angles for your hands offering a custom feel regardless of your hand size. The NL Pure has a removable headrest similar to the one on the BTX dual eyepiece. To be totally honest, when I first saw the headrest I thought it would be useless, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. The extra point of contact it provides offers substantially more stability.

The Swarovski NL Pure will be available in 8x42, 10x42, and 12x42. While the NL Pure image resolution is essentially perfect, but the most impressive feature is the extended field of view (FOV). Every extra foot of FOV will equate to more animals found, especially when mounted on a tripod. Outdoorsmans will have a custom tripod adapter available by the time the NL Pure is ready to ship (September 1, 2020).

Chris Denham

On top of being one of the stars of one of the most popular hunting shows on television, Chris is the "War Chief" of a tribe of incredible people that work for Wilderness Athlete, Outdoorsmans, and Western Hunter. Chris has been hunting, guiding, writing, and more importantly, thinking about hunting the West harder than anyone else for decades. He's seen it all, done most of it, and has a great story about it. Chris lives in Fountain Hills, Arizona but spends months criss-crossing the highways and trails of the mountain West each year.

When he's not giving glassing seminars or filming for the TV show, he's tinkering with gear, advocating for both hunters and wildlife, or towing around an Airstream camper. Aside from that, he's a gardener and a sipper of fine bourbon.
