Pedram is a self-described “gear nerd.” Although he often jokes about being a “diversity hire” or “foreign exchange student,” he’s easily the most American person you’ll ever meet. His goal is to take the experiences he’s had in the outdoors and make them translate to our readers along with his family, including his young son. “Ped” as he’s affectionately known, is obsessed with gear, but he’s also extremely passionate about the people behind the companies that make it. Many of Pedram’s articles go beyond the standard gear review model and into the stories and lifestyles of the folks who created the products and what those stories mean to us as consumers.
